Boxes, albums, and file versions

A Musebox library is a collection of boxes. You organize versions of your media files into boxes in the same way that you would organize printed photos into shoeboxes. A media version may be copied or moved to another box, but cannot be in two boxes at the same time.

However, a single media version can be added to any number of albums; making changes to a media version in one album (such as ratings or keywords) will apply to everywhere else that same version is used.

Media versions can be grouped together into stacks, letting you group closely related photos. You might stack several photos of the same cupcake together to help pick your favorite shot.

You can use folders to group boxes & albums in the library window’s sidebar.
