Using devices plugged into a MacBook

The Import window (available from File > Import Files) shows capture devices connected to your Mac in the sidebar. If you’re using a MacBook and you don’t see a device that you’ve plugged into a USB port, macOS may be preventing it from connecting due to security settings.

You can adjust the security settings by opening System Settings using  > System Settings and searching for “usb” or “allow accessories to connect.”
