Crop, straighten, and rotate images

Selecting a tool

Click the buttons on the main window’s toolbar to select the Crop and Straighten tools, or by using the C and G keys.

Deselecting the current tool

When a tool is selected, you can click the arrow icon that appears to the left to deselect it, or press the A key.

Crop

Select the image you want to crop in the browser to display it in the content viewer. Use the mouse to drag a rectangle in the content viewer to define the crop area.

Straighten

Select the image you want to straighten in the browser to display it in the content viewer. When you drag the mouse in the content viewer, you will slowly rotate the image. Use the grid lines that appear to help align the image.

Rotate images

You can rotate images counter-clockwise by clicking the third icon in the toolbar, or by using the [ key. To rotate clockwise instead, hold down the Option key and then click the same button, or use the ] key.
